1hacker, are you sure? The hardest course in the United States, the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, has a USGA course rating of 78. There aren't many more than 10 or 20 courses in the US that have that high of a rating, and I've NEVER heard of one higher than 79. I've played a course rated 77.6 and it was by far the toughest course I've ever played (I'm a 3 handicap and shot something like 92). So unless your course is like the hardest course in the world, I think the guys in the pro shop made a typo on the scorecard! Remember, the course rating is what the USGA deems to be the average score a true scratch golfer should shoot on a given course. If a scratch player could barely break 80 on your course, as your CR implies, then they need to bring the US Open there!

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying I think someone screwed up when they printed the scorecard!

My scorecard says 71.5, should I change it?

Heck that bring my handicap down too. Are you gonna play in the tournament in Quanah this weekend?

    1hacker July 19, 2010
Nope Kyle that came right off the score card

Childress's course finally got its ratings. As I play there more than anywhere it's exciting. Blue is 79.5 121 Those ratings make my game look better than I thought I was doing.

I want some of you North Texas golfers to come visit and play Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. We have some of the best courses in the state.
