Jack Nicklaus has 18 Majors & Tiger Woods,has 14 Majors.What other player has a shot of Breaking Jacks Record of 18? The other players,like Watson,Hogan,Palmer,Player,are to old or Dead.You have other players,like Love,Couples,Phil,Duval,Norman,etc that have played golf a lot longer than Tiger Woods,yet not even close to the Major Win Record.What Gives?

Until Tiger moves to the Champions Tour I don't see anyone on the horizon. There's so many players that are of a similar skill level to pick one out. When Tiger came on the scene he was a stand out among the rest. I think the playing field has been somewhat leveled over the past few years.

With 14 Majors won over the past 15 years it's hard to imagine two players being at that level at the same time.

Payton can not play the big games. Just getting there is not enough. Jesus Christ, the guy makes one bad throw in the playoffs and everyone says he sucks in the playoffs. Yes, that throw was inexcusable and it setup the Ravens' GW field goal in that game. If Rahim Moore doesn't completely mistime a jump though, and Flacco and Jacoby don't get the luckiest break in history, that throw never needs to happen. People forget that Manning had a 28/43 game with 290 yards, 3 TD and 1 other INT, which NEVER should have happened because of a clear cut pass interference. And at the same time, the zebras called a terrible pass interference against Denver which would keep the Ravens TD drive to make it 7-7 alive. Manning and the Broncos win that game if not for a little help from the officials and some help from above as well. |
