USGA Golf Clubs

With the Green Membership ($ Free $), you can post scores to your profile from all your favorite courses to keep track of your rounds for your own purposes. A Green Membership also gives you access to some basic statistics charting to help your game. A recreational scoring average is NOT legal for use in any tournament playing by the USGA's rules (ie: a golf course's club championship or member/guest event).

USGA Handicap Index:

With at least a Silver Membership ($14.95/year), you can join one of our virtual 'Golf Clubs' that are officially licensed by the USGA (use the search below to find a club near you). Beyond the calculation of your scores based on a courses rating, a valid index is driven by peer review. Our Golf Clubs hold annual tournaments that encourage members to get out and meet each other to play golf.

Even though the handicap formula is a relatively simple calculation, it is the intellectual property of the USGA (they OWN it). Please beware of other sites that promise you a 'handicap' without complying with the USGA's system of local golf clubs for peer review... they risk litigation from the USGA for infringing on their trademarks, and you could lose all your score if/when the site is shut down (it happens often).
