Other Initiatives

StrackaLine w/ "Gorjus" George Lucas Tour Guides
We produce the yardage guides used on the PGA, LPGA, Champions/Seniors, and Nationwide Tours. The famous "bright orange" books were developed in 1976 by Arnold Palmer's former caddie, George Lucas (known on Tour as "Gorjus George").

In 2007, we invented and patent protected the "StrackaLine" process of using a land surveying laser to scan the surface of green to the millimeter for elevation change, then produce a contour and fall-line image showing a golfer exactly how gravity will affect a rolling golf ball.

In 2008, Stracka acquires Lucas's business and incorporates the StrackaLine green's guides into the orange books used on the Tours for the 2009 season.

In 2010, we being selling box sets of books to golf fans worldwide and they become a popular collector's item. (George had only sold them to Tour players)

US Congress Golf Committee
We work directly with the US Congress in our efforts to grow the game of golf with technology.

Chaired by Congressman Joe Baca(D-CA) as a division of the Pro Sports Caucus chaired by Congressman Heath Shuler(D-NC)

Our inaugural reception was held on July 21, 2009 in the Capitol Building in Washington D.C.

The Committee's goal is to bring awareness to State Golf Associations and independent Golf Courses that are operating as small businesses and are struggling in a tough economy. Using the Stracka.com social site as a gateway, the Golf Committee's plan is to increase membership in State Golf Associations, and increase the popularity of golf with younger generations to increase rounds played at local courses.
